How has hunting affected the african and asian lions?

plzzzzzzzzz helpHow has hunting affected the african and asian lions?
Lions in Africa are affected by drought. Hunting of different wildlife is only permitted when there are access.

Here, hunting is not permitted in the National parks/Nature reserves and Nature takes mostly its course. The only numbers the conservationists control, are the population of elephants by culling. They do alot of damage.

Hunting on game farms are a different story. It's been over done, but there are rarely any predators on game farms. How has hunting affected the african and asian lions?
Asiatic lions are now greatly endangered due to hunting. There are approximately 202 adult Asiatic lions to date. As for the African lion the population is much greater, around 28,854 - 47,132 exist, but their numbers have mysteriously dropped within the last century from about 200,000 lions. Although hunting may be a factor the exact cause for the decline is relatively unknown. African lions are hunted by big game hunters though and this is a great concern as the African lion is listed as a ';vulnerable'; species, yet not endangered, for now. Also as a side note lions use to inhabit almost every continent including north America. The reason for the extinction of these large cats is blamed on over hunting by humans. We must take care and live in peace and respect with these amazing predators or else they will not live to see another hundred years.
