Hunting clothes for bird hunting?

I am planning on going duck/goose hunting soon with some friends. I have never been before, but I have been shooting at the trap range. I don't have any ';hunting'; clothes. I want to ask if I need to have all the cammo stuff I see at the stores/on TV to go duck hunting or is jeans/dark clothes ok and not going to make me look like a goober while still accomplishing the desired effect of getting some birds?Hunting clothes for bird hunting?
Most goose/duck hunting is done from blinds, so what type of pants you are wearing usually doesn't matter. Your head and shoulders should have some type of camo to match the surroundings, but isn't mandatory. You have to ask your friends if you are going to have to wade through any water, if so, you need waterproof boots. The most important part of duck goose hunting clothes is that they keep you warm and dry. Tell your friends to describe what you are going to do and then if you need camo and stuff either borrow it or buy some burlap to cover you up. Again, dress to stay dry and warm, then everything else can be fixed, that is take weeds from the area and cover yourself etc.

With that I must say, ducks and geese come in low to the ground, make sure you don't jump up in front of your friends and make sure you don't shoot one of them. Safety if the first rule.

Depending on where you're hunting, be sure to dress warm because it gets cold on or near the water. As far as cammo, whatever will help you blend into the terrain.
