Does anyone know the rules and regulations on hunting and trapping wild hogs?

the best thing that you can do, is to contact the ALABAMA department of wildlife %26amp; get the information from them.

that way, you should be ok, if you follow thge rules that they have in placeDoes anyone know the rules and regulations on hunting and trapping wild hogs?
At least in Texas hunting/trapping feral hog is unregulated by the State. They are considered a nuisance and not State property.

they have a problem right now with a couple of diseases in there wild hogs in france.

so they are importing hogs from texas.
Depends on the state you are in, some have a season. If you do hunt them, hunt from high point up a tree, they can be mean, and charge at you! Medium caliber rifle or handgun, 222, 243, 30/30 or 50AE, 357, 454
i don't know what the rules are in your state but here every thing you can think of is legal,no one wants them around and you don't even have to have a hunting license to shoot them
It depends where you are hunting. In Georgia they are such a pest that if you just get a sign permission paper from a land owner you can get a tag to bait, spotlight, and shoot as many as you want. Go to google and type your state name and hunting regulations and it will tell you there.

good luck

if u r talking about ferral hogs federal law says by any meens necc
For wild Russian boars there are no rules they are an invasive species believed to have escaped from a failed game reserve.

Just like starlings they harm the environment and compete native species. you can use any caliber weapon even cross bows in U.S, but I recommend .308+ because they have a thick skin around shoulder blades that has been known to deflect smaller calibers. They are very hard to find look for turned over rocks wallows etc..

I have hunted boars before never successfully but know people who have the tusks to show there success.
