Why are so many people angainst hunting, what's your view on the subject?

Here is when i want a lot of people to go eco on this question. Personally if your killing just for fun thats wrong, if your killing for a tophy thats wrong, if your killing to help the other animals and plants by killling foreign animals thats fine if done humanely and killing for food fine but not if done to excess. What your view on the subject? cheersWhy are so many people angainst hunting, what's your view on the subject?
I agree with youWhy are so many people angainst hunting, what's your view on the subject?
Hunting in our days can be seen as : A - a need B - a hobby

A - a need - people all around the world (especially in poor countries like Africa, India) hunt animals to feed themselves and their family. There are entire tribes that only hunt animals and use whatever fruits the forest gives them. Should we blame them ? Should we blame you if, instead of sitting now in front of your PC, reading this, would be rushing after an elephant (that can kill you in several seconds) thinking that if you will put it down, your whole tribe will have food for the coming month ? And this only with some bows, not with proper rifles/guns ? When you go to a luxurious restaurant and eat wild boar, do you think of the hunters who stayed hours and hours (maybe in cold rain) waiting for that boar to show up ?

B - a hobby - in nowadays, wherever we look we can see violence and crimes. When our soul is filled with anger and violence, and sadness because of the failures we had so far, what should we do ? Many usually say ';I went hunting because I wanted to get rid of that anger, I wanted to stop being the prey in life, and for once, be a hunter';. I think it's a great way to get rid of stress, anger and bad feelings. And when there are so many hunting resorts out there, created especially for raising game, I doubt that we will ';damage'; the natural fauna God has created. Yes, what I hate the most is killing the endangered species, and the people who use over-hunting techniques. One should know when to stop.
Pest control and hunting for food are totally acceptable. But even then it depends on how you do it. Shooting a deer cleanly and humanely is one thing, but using dogs to bring it down is another completely! Shooting a fox cleanly and humanely is one thing, but digging it out and flushing it out with dogs, is another. And I dont agree with trophy hunting either.
My personal opinion is that hunting isn't helping anything. Natural predators kill off animals, yes, but they kill off the sick and the weak, making the herd stronger. Most natural predators are in short numbers these days, and humans want the biggest and the strongest, so the herd is left with the sick and the weak. I don't think animal overpopulation is the problem, it's human overpopulation.
Hunting is a hobby that many of us enjoy. It's okay to have fun, but it depends on the type of fun you are having that causes the problem. I enjoy sitting in the duck blind watching and waiting for ducks to enter my decoy spread. I enjoy walking the fields trying to flush out a pheasant or two. I would love to sit in a deer stand and have my sights on the ';big one.'; There is nothing wrong with that. But I take the animal home and use it to feed myself and my family. To me, this is a much more humane way of taking an animal than the slaughter houses all across our country. Hunting has been around since the beginning of man kind and people should always have the right to go after game if they so wish.
'; Hunting is Fun and Enjoyable; Killing is neither Fun or Enjoyable.'; Society will forever judge Hunters by their Compassion for the Animals that they Hunt for and Harvest.* All life is precious to us true Hunters, even a Rabbits to us Hunters who Hunt them for Food and Sport for ourselves, family, friends, and fellow Hunters.*...
I believe to only kill it if you are going to eat it,or it is harmed and is in misery. For trophy or just to say ';see what I killed'; no.I know over population has to be controlled. If you shoot it kill it don't wound it and then leave it.If the animal runs off go after it and finish your killing.
People are against hunting because they are ignorant. They think that hunters just go out and shoot at everything. Hunting isn't easy. Another thing people don't understand is that hunting and fishing generate a LOT of money yearly for preservation, education, etc. etc.
Killing for fun is stupid, but if you are killing to curb populations since it is a threat to safety to have overpopulated animals (deer, etc), or to kill for food then thats fine. Killing for fun is sadistic though.
I hunt to feed my family, don't get me wrong, if i see a huge buck beside a spike, i'll harvest the large one,

Good Hunting all....
Too many people have too much time on their hands, nothing else to do, and are not hungry enough yet. As things change so they remain the same.
Ofcourse killing animals is wrong if you're just doing it for fun or to distract stress. Any killing is wrong, but we need food..
