What kind of gun should i buy for deer hunting in the thick stuff?

im 200 pounds and can shot just about anything! will buy from other hunters or storesWhat kind of gun should i buy for deer hunting in the thick stuff?
The length of the gun and the type of sights are more important in a brush gun than the caliber or type of action. A short barreled rifle or shotgun with either aperture (or ghost ring) sights or a LOW powered scope (less than 3 power) in a common chambering such as the .30-30, .35 Rem, ..30-06, .270 Win, 7mm-08, 308, .44Mag, .45-70 etc or shotgun slugs is ideal. The short barrel is more maneuverable in the thick brush and the aperture or scope sights allow a quicker acquisition a moving animal in the sights for a quick shot. What kind of gun should i buy for deer hunting in the thick stuff?
Remington 870 or 1170, 12 gauge with slug barrel.
30-30, 32 Winchester Special, 303 British, 8mm Mauser,12 gauge shotgun firing rifled slugs.** Any of the previously mentioned calibers are ideal for your use %26amp; purpose.**
the best deer rifle i think is the .300 ultra mag. but the 12 ga. is cheap and puts the deer down

if you want some range and power get a tar-hunt percition 12 ga.
THE RUGER SUPER BLACKHAWK OR REDHAWK IN .44 MAGNUM ,USING THE 240 GRAIN JACKETED SOFT POINT AS LOADED BY REMINGTON ,BLACK HILLS ,MAGTECH ,ETC.THE PISTOL IS EASIER TO HANDLE IN THE THICK STUFF AND IS CAPABLE OF STOPPING A BEAR!YOU CAN'T DO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS COMBO UP TO 80 YARDS OR SO (DEPENDING ON HOW GOOD A SHOT YOU ARE.
30/30 or 12 GA
Bullet deflection can occur with a 458 Lott as easily as a .243. Make sure you have a clear shot before you take it. I've had to clean up after some else's botched attempt at harvest.
I love my 444 Marlin for heavy timber and thick brush. A 12 gauge pump is also nice.
a 30-30.
kind of depends on what you like. i have a winchester 30/30 carbine i love in brush it is short and light for use in brush it is easy to get up on the deer with and itis pleanty big to kill a deer
Go with a 308 or 30-06..... great stopping power....
30-30 or 12 ga
The perfect rifle for you would be one I hunt with fairly frequently: the Winchester model 71 carbine, probably the best levergun ever made. Unfortunately, it's been out of production for about 50 years (except a limited run Browning did back in the 80's), and they're mighty pricey. Lacking that option, I'd probably go for one of the 45-70 Marlin guide guns.
Well for thick stuff, my guess would be the deer will be pretty close to you when you shoot. A 12 gauge shotgun with a rifled slug would work for thick stuff. Also a Thompson Contender in .243 or .308 would be sufficient too, and may be a better choice than the shotgun.
