I need a goose hunting tip ASAP?

I keep shooting at geese at about 25 to 50 yards with my model 870 12 ga Rem Wingmaster. And i keep missing, anyway i should lead them more and were i should lead them.I need a goose hunting tip ASAP?
Your choke has nothing to do with missing these geese. They are within 50 yards, so you could even use an improved cylinder and make those shots. You do not need a full choke. In fact, that will constrict your pattern.

You need to calm down first. I would guess you are getting excited and rushing the shot. We have all done it.

Next, wait until you are ready to shoot before raising the gun. This will keep you from leading the bird too soon. Too much time to think leads to mistakes. Once you shoulder your shotgun, make sure you are bringing it in tight and up to your cheek. Begin swinging from behind the goose, swing through until you see the beak, pull the trigger, and follow through. The follow through is very important. You may shoot behind the first bird. If this is the case, then increase your lead one bird length until you figure out the proper lead. Eventually the lead will become second nature. Geese fly much faster than they appear sometimes so you may have to increase lead accordingly.I need a goose hunting tip ASAP?
I would advise generally, that a full choke and one full goose-length lead should suffice up to 30/40 yards. That's what I do at least. It just takes time and experience to get a 'feel' for it. I have goose hunted for 20 years and have missed about 1/4 of all geese I have shot at...hence three shots available!! -And make sure you 'swing-thru' with your shot! -Geese are not as slow as it seems.
You need full choke and a good long barrel plus Bismuth or a good lead sub. Geese usually do not fly that fast......so practice with skeet.

It varies with range, speed, wind etc.......You will need to practice.

Don't fret to much ....I see plenty of older guys who can't hit that well.

You need to be using 3'; or 3.5'; mags. Geese are tough.
Aim right in front of the head and KEEP SWINGING after you pull the trigger. If you're used to lead shot it'll take a while to find the new grove. Maybe use a tighter choke or use a 3 1/2' shell vs a 2 3/4';.
Experience, experience, experience. To shoot some clay pigeons at different yardages. Thats the best way to get better at birdin. Try some different chokes at the range too. Find what works best for you.
right in front of the head are you using a full choke, they really help, so good luck
