We live in the midwest where hunting is a huge thing and we just bought our son his first gun and he is 7. We are interested in hearing from other sportsmen who will be passing along the hunting tradition to their kids in the same manner. Will you be taking your child/children youth hunting this season?
yes I will be taking my kids but do yourself a favor have him/her take a safety course sometimes kids will listen about safety from someone else other then yourselves remember SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY you cant tell them enough. it is a very enjoyable sportWill you be taking your child/children youth hunting this season?
no
I don't think my wife would allow me to take a 3 year old hunting lol. heck she don't like me to go. However i did take him fishing with me over the summer and he enjoyed that alot, he even reeled in a few nice sized bluegills on an adult rod. im getting him a childrens rod for christmas.
I agree with you teaching our young about the out doors is important. it should be started as soon as possible
yes i will-my 16 year old daughter has been small game hunting with me for the past two years.hopefully, when my 12 year old daughter turns 14,she will take the hunter safety class and come hunting as well.
Yes, it is important to keep hunting alive. It is a great sport also teaches you many values.
I live in N.J. and this state will be the first to go no discharge of firearms state wide. I really did like to small game hunt.
I have taken my son deer hunting during youth gun and gun season, for the last two years. For Christmas I bought him a crossbow. Then the day before season he brought home a progress report card with three d's. He will get his report card just before the rut hits, here in Ohio. So hopefully he gets his grades up, so I can take him bowhunting, during the rut. I think it hurts me, more than it hurts him. But school comes first and foremost.
Depends what kind a gun you gave him,I am a hunter here in Eastern Canada. We are always surprised at how zealous you Americans are over guns.Wait until he is a little older for a real gun.
My son is only 1 but if he were older, he would be going with me. I can't wait until i can start teaching him the ropes of hunting and fishing.
yes i start with a 22 when i was seven and plan on taking my nefew hunting and a few of his friends more for learning than hunting though till get there hunting linces then they can hunt right along with my as long as they are safe any time
