Is the Remington Core-Lokt good for deer hunting?

And does soft pointed or pointed do better on deer and big game and does sp or psp do better on deer?Is the Remington Core-Lokt good for deer hunting?
Too many variables to answer correctly, but here you go...

Most Remington Core-Lokt ammuntion is a great bargain and is plenty of round for deer in a caliber that is designed for deer. If you have anything larger that a .243/6mm, I would use a PSP bullet in a Core-Lokt and not think twice about it. If you are taking extremely long shots, you might want to go to a boat-tail bullet that is more stable and will give you the accuracy you need at long ranges. Is the Remington Core-Lokt good for deer hunting?
I have a friend who has used 180 gr. SP .30-'06 Remington Core-Lokt ammo exclusively for nearly 50 years. You couldn't pay him to use anything else in his '06 rifles.

Does that give you an idea of the Remington Core-Lokt design's effectiveness on whitetail deer?

Doc
I took down a 315lbs black bear with a 130 grain regular core lokt with one shot and it was a horrible shot too. Kind of embarrassing, but I hit it in what was the equivalent of the left butt cheek, and it ended up in the chest, so not bad. It only went 50yds.
YES they are excellent.* Use the soft point bullet.*
Yes the core-lokt is great for deer I shoot it everyear I perfer the psp for long shots a boattail or blistc tip.
It is fine with me if it's the right caliber for my .30-06. I even use them in a 220 grain for elk.
