How did hunting Easter eggs get started?

The egg hunt is a Pagan ritual, like the origins of most religion today. The egg was used to celebrate spring and rebirth.How did hunting Easter eggs get started?

The Easter bunny has its origin in pre-Christian fertility lore. The Hare and the Rabbit were the most fertile animals known and they served as symbols of the new life during the Spring season.





The bunny as an Easter symbol seems to have it's origins in Germany, where it was first mentioned in German writings in the 1500s. The first edible Easter bunnies were made in Germany during the early 1800s. These were made of pastry and sugar.





The Easter bunny was introduced to American folklore by the German settlers who arrived in the Pennsylvania Dutch country during the 1700s. The arrival of the ';Oschter Haws'; was considered ';childhood's greatest pleasure'; next to a visit from Christ-Kindel on Christmas Eve. The children believed that if they were good the ';Oschter Haws'; would lay a nest of colored eggs.





The children would build their nest in a secluded place in the home, the barn or the garden. Boys would use their caps and girls their bonnets to make the nests . The use of elaborate Easter baskets would come later as the tradition of the Easter bunny spread through out the country.How did hunting Easter eggs get started?
I don't know where the hunting started . When the sunlight diminishes in the winter , the chickens stop laying eggs . When the sunlight increases around late March -April they start hatching again. The egg is a symbolic sign of the resurrection of Christ .
so one day there was a mother bunny and a daddy bunny. they hopped on to some old ladys lawn. she goes ';ya dawn rabbits get off ma lawn!'; she chased them off with a lawn mower and unfortunatly killed both bunnies. little did they know the mom was pregnate, then the next day he grankids came over and went in the back yard. and found an egg. but it wasnt any ordinary egg. it was an easter bunny egg. the easter bunny escaped and started putting eggs all over the house. and the old lady said ';ya dawn kids find the magic egg and we'll make it a tradition.'; then everyone started to do it because those dawn bunnies.
