Deer hunting season coming up. Anybody going and what is the biggest you have ever shot?

Yes, I'm leaving for South Dakota in a few days with my brother for a Whitetail / Mule Deer hunt. My biggest Buck to date was a 32 1/4 inch wide 195'; class Mule Deer that I shot in Northern Nevada in 1997Deer hunting season coming up. Anybody going and what is the biggest you have ever shot?
Season come in 2 weeks ago here in North Carolina, and I already got a 8pt, a 6 pt, and a doe, and going tommarow.





The biggest buck I ever shot was an 11pt buck with 3 antlers broke off from fighting.

My dad's friends had a creek behind their house and I was back there fishin one day and saw 5 huge bucks, now when I say huge I'm talking 170-200lb deer, all bigger than 7pts. Asked the guy who owned the land if I could put up my own personal stand that season and hunt it after school. The first weekend I hunted it I shot a nice 7pt. Next week, a 9pt. After that I didn't see another deer that year until the last week. Turns out that the guy who owned it found out about my buck slaying going on and he killed 4 bucks. I talked to him about it and we joked around. That last week I was hunting it during my Christmas break and a Spike walked out. I got my rifle up getting ready to shoot when I looked into the creek and saw nothing but antlers coming up. Shot him stone dead on impact.

Absolutely am going hunting this year - my daughter is going with me. Largest I have ever gotten was an 8 point that weighed in at 240# field dressed. It's a great time to bond as a family. Lots of beauty and time to visit when you are out in nature. Just remember BE SAFE!!!
I havent for a long time. The last deer I got was with a bow. In Michigan. It was a doe, they allow does sometimes to thin out the population. She weighed over 200lb.field dressed!


btw most hunter dont hunt just for food. It just happens to be a benefit of the sport.



Largest was a 12 point weighing somewhere around 225 lbs. I usually hunt first with a .54 cal. muzzle loader and later season with scoped Remington 870.
After twenty years of deer hunting a two point buck is my best record . I have killed several does and spike bucks but have never bagged one worth bragging about.
Yes a six (6*) point buck so far with my Remington Model 110 in 30-06.*
I'll be going out. Several years ago I shot a 130 class eight pointer. I was pretty pumped.
Yep I'm going. the biggest deer i got was a really nice 10 pointer when i was only 8 years old, 4-10 single-shot shotgun
